With technology becoming a part of our everyday lives,The Seniors Digital Literacy Program (SDLP) aims to reduce social isolation, foster independence, and advance the basic computer skills of older adults living in the Peel Region. The knowledge gained throughout this program will allow the participants to apply their skills to everyday situations such as communicating with their loved ones, finding directions, or accessing valuable resources such as healthcare, mental health services or government services.
In this modified program, we will cover the foundational skills of typing and mousing skills, internet searching, email use, managing folders and formatting documents. Seniors are encouraged to bring their own devices if they wish, however we have a computer lab available for training. Come willing to learn and have some fun!
