Previously known as Skills for Employment, Life and Family, The Learning PLace has evolved over its 40 year history and become an essential program in Peel Region.
Literacy is a fundamental skill for community members to be gainfully employed, promote independence and seek out their full potential. The Learning Place aims to provide individuals with valuable literacy education to help develop key life skills so they may be self-reliant and live with independence and dignity. Our reach is broad including learners who do not meet basic literacy skills, those with learning disabilities and those who have difficulty gaining or sustaining employment.
