Our success is based on teamwork – it is the fuel that allows common people to attain uncommon results. Our expert staff of instructors and administrators assures that all of our students reach their potential. Whether a student needs basic reading and writing skills or an upgraded understanding of technology, we will make it happen. With years of experience in education at all levels, our team will make learning fun and effective!

Our Staff

  • Maria Reolin, Executive Director

    An educator with 20+ years’ experience in Adult Learning, Curriculum Design, Teacher Training and Educational Management, Maria joined TLP in 2014 and has been instrumental in TLP’s transformation and growth. Her vision is to see TLP become a beacon for the cause of Adult Literacy in Canada. Maria is also a Director of the Board at CLO – Community Literacy of Ontario.

  • Sharon Austin, Operations Manager

    Sharon joined the Peel Literacy Guide in 1989 as a Tutor. Along her career, she has excelled in different roles: Tutor Coordinator, Program Manager and, since 2012, Manager of Operations, a key position that has helped TLP run its programs successfully. Sharon’s dedication and commitment are invaluable!

  • Ranjana Sahai

    Ranjana has been part of TLP’s team for 5 years. As Intake and Referral Specialist, she is the first contact for our clients. Her warm personality, patience and knowledge make the whole assessment and intake experience pleasant and welcoming. She has established successful relationships with other community service providers that ensure seamless transitions for our learners. Ranjana is a star!

Chair - Grace Hardie
Grace is a human resources professional with over 20 years experience in public and private sectors. She brings to TLP her experience in team building and leadership, administering and implementing policies and building strategic objectives.

Vice Chair - Stephen O. Olasina
Stephen is an independent financial advisor, having previously worked as an accountant and MBA with over 20 years of experience. He has worked in industry, government and the not-for profit sector and as a business owner both in Canada and the UK. Stephen has first-hand experience of the positive impact of literacy having lived in West Africa, witnessing communities being transformed with an uplifting sense of general self-worth. He has been involved with TLP as a tutor since 2010.

Treasurer - Deepak Patel
Deepak is a Sales Executive with a large global technology company and has over 13 years of diverse experience in areas Account Management, Business Development, Marketing Strategy, Technology Development and Financial P&L Management. He holds Bachelor’s in Computer Science and MBA in Marketing & Strategy from the Schulich School of Business. He is passionate about Learning and Education and volunteers his time with literacy oriented non-profit organizations.
